Reading through the book of Matthew, I can see that Jesus, though gracious, loving, kind, caring, gentle [every woman's dream qualities; some of].. he was no pansy!! He was equally firm, stable, honest, bold. The Prince of peace was no people pleaser. This guy was not afraid to put the hypocrites in their place. He got mad and yelled; even threw some things around [no, you cannot quote this when you're acting out].. He showed us that meekness is not weakness. He showed us BALANCE.
God is perfect. He is both the Lion and the Lamb, the Servant-King, the God-man, the just and merciful Judge.. All the things that seem contradictory to the human mind, God is. And He calls His children to be the same, by the power of His Spirit at work in us. He calls men to be men, and women to be women. Meekness is not weakness, but weakness is not meekness either!
